Family values at the core of our business. When you’re researching information for a remodel in your home, it’s easy to get caught up in the details of the project, in the pricing, and in the timeline of when you can expect the project to be completed. But there are many other factors that go into picking the right company for you and your family. The history of the company that you go with is one of these main factors. So, to help put your mind at ease, we wanted to give you a little history on American Home Remodeling, Inc. and how we’ve managed to stay family owned and operated since 2001.

The History of our Family Business

American Home Remodeling, Inc. was founded in 2001 by Jim Darling, a patio cover installer with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He hired on his son, Jace Darling, as the first Designer for the company, and together the two of them sold patio covers through a single supplier: TEMO Sunrooms.

Jim & Jace - Family Owned & Operated Since 2001. Jim is the father and Jace is his son.

Over the years, the duo learned more and more about the industry, about different techniques to streamline their services and product offerings, and about new ways to grow their new business. Eventually they had to hire more Designers and Jace was promoted to Vice President of the company. Now, with 14 Designers, four nationally recognized manufacturing partners (TEMO, Liners Direct, Four Seasons Sunrooms, and Anlin Window Systems), and a budding partnership with Home Depot as a Trusted Service Provider, American Home Remodeling, Inc. is growing more than we could’ve ever imagined.

All throughout this growth process, we’ve held true to the fact that customer service is why we’ve been so successful. It’s in our DNA to treat all of our customers like family because we’re still a family ourselves. We pride ourselves in happy customers and being able to please them throughout every step of the home remodeling process.

In an industry full of single contractors who leave projects unfinished, who take money from their customers without performing any work, or who just reopen their business under a new license number every time something bad happens, we’re here to try and change that norm. AHR is dedicated to every project, no matter the size, as if it was a part of our own home. We are proud of the company we’ve become and proud of the heritage that we came from, and we hope you, our loyal customers, see that pride along every step of the way.
